Ah, Montreal ...

I had such a great time at Expozine in Montreal this weekend. Wonderful books, comics, zines, poetry, and prints. Wonderful turn out as well, overall a really great convention.

And Montreal was beautiful, we walked around, ate food, had drinks, window shopped, it was a fantastic weekend.

EXPOZINE and a Review by Hi-Low

Robert Clough reviewed the first part of my comic Long Division on his blog, Hi-Low. Check it out!

Intrigued? Good! Come see me in beautiful Montreal at Expozine. I'll have Long Division parts 1 and 2, my Hearts and Mini Comics screen-prints (see them here) and a new one-page screen-print (soon to be published in the screen-printed anthology Bruiser.)

Hey! Huge SPX Print Run!

I'm finally printing copies of my funny-animal-horror comic, Hey! Huge Fez Zombies! I figure Halloween is just around the corner, so people may want to start filling their lives with zombies and blood and stuff.

I'll be selling it at SPX, table K4B. It costs $2, and I'll be trading it like an infectious disease that destroys your mental capabilities and awakens your violent instincts to feed on other people.

See you there!

SPX-citing!

I'm looking forward to tabling at this year's SPX in Bethesda, MD! The first two parts of my book Long Division will be debuting, which I am crazy excited/nervous about. I'll be selling two screenprints and copies of my funny-animal horror comic, Hey! Huge Fez Zombies!

ALSO debuting is the queer erotica comics anthology I helped do production on, Queerotica (I have a story in it as well.) It is 108 pages and fully risographed in purple and pink. It will be on my table, which I am sharing with my friend and former classmate, one of the editors of Queerotica, Allie Kleber.

So, you should be excited, too, and come stop by my table!

Catching Up

SPX and MICE were pretty awesome. I have a whole bunch of lovely swag from both. MICE was pretty crazy because it was my first time tabling and selling my book, The Third Dominion, which is a update, completed copy of my final project form last year. My table mates kept me from being too nervous, so thanks, guys!

Small Press Expo

Hey everyone! I'm hopping in a car to drive (or be driven) to Bethesda, MA for SPX. I won't be tabling, but I will be wandering and trading. If you see this chick, cut her a break and trade with her:

Have a happy SPX!

Almost done ...

I have been finishing up the inks on my CCS first year final project, The Third Dominion, Chapter One. It is good practice using nibs, mostly working on my hatching and stippling skills. Though, I got sick of how long stippling takes, so I made a texture pattern in Photoshop and will drop it in after I get everything scanned. It may be cheating, but it makes things faster and less frustrating. I am working on page 21 (of 24) right now, still have to rewrite and redraw three pages near the beginning, but I'm getting there.  I am planning on debuting the finished version at MICE, at the Quintuple Ruffle table.
